Some of you may remember this thread from a few weeks back where I posted some pics of an incredible woodworking tool collection I got to see. I found another pic that I thought I had lost... Anyone want a guess for what this tool is? (The wooden part is just a display stand). ![]() |

looks like it could be an early nail gun. The nails are fed from the hopper and you hold it against the wall or such with the handle and hit the plunger with a hammer? Or then again it might not be ![]() Colin |

Ding ding ding! Colin is the winner of... a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. I was hoping the nail holes in the base wouldn't give it away, I didn't notice that before I posted it. |

You koa guys have it easy. I'm cocobolo, I make everyone sneeze and they keep trying to flood my crack with superglue. (If this gets modded, I won't complain... There's no other forum where that joke would make sense.) |

It does look like a "cat"apult. It flings cats out of your shop or anywhere for that matter. The neutering occurs on impact. Lance I remember those Ronco ads. It was called the Bedazzler! Best,Evan aka Diet Cocobola |

It looks like the nails are gravity fed, so I wonder if it primarily served to nail flooring down? |
